I'm back!

After 5 days or so of hibernating, I'm back! I just had a very fun and relaxing vacation at Tondol White Beach in Pangasinan and Baguio City. From the time we left Manila until we got back from the lalawigans, the weather was so so sunny! Clear skies... No sign of rain at all... God loves me! :) It was the perfect summer in December...

December 15, 2008
6:00 PM - Josh fetched me sa office and we had dinner at Mc Donald's. We spent siguro an hour and 30 mins chitchatting over our burgers... trying to buy time kasi 12MN pa biyahe namin.
Salcedo Park at Night
7:45 PM - Josh and I went to Salcedo Park. Lakad lakad lang. We planned to leave Makati mga 9:30 eh, para sakto lang dating namin sa Victory Liner in Cubao. This was the first time I saw Salcedo Park at night... and the first time without the tinderos and tinderas of the weekend market.
9:30 PM - on our way to Victory Liner sa Cubao. Traffic was not that heavy naman and it took manong driver 45 mins lang to drive us from Makati.
10:15 PM or so - we were waiting sa terminal and buying time. Josh handed me a pack of Maltesers, kainin daw sa bus--was so surprised! =) While waiting for our bus, meron dun nag-aabang din--cute kid named Nico. Ayun, pinicture-an namin ni Josh.
Nico...
December 16, 2008
12MN - off to Pangasinan! ETA was 6AM. But, the bus' fan belt broke and we had to stay in Pampanga for an hour. Naisip ko... ilang oras na naman ako matutulog nito before we get to our destination. Ang layo... but I didn't care coz I know this vacay would be very worth the time and effort... and money! Alam ko maganda yung pupuntahan namin eh.
6:30 AM - we finally reached Catubig where we got a tricycle to bring us sa Tondol White Beach in Anda. And the tricycle ride was sooo looong... 40 minutes talaga! And it costs us 200 bucks!
7:15 AM or so - we're already at Tondol White Beach... right there and then, I fell in love with the beach... so peaceful... so quiet... we can even hear our whispers. I can only hear the waves of the sea and the chirping of the birds. It was heaven!
8:15 AM - After settling down, Josh and I decided to go to the local market to buy our food for our lunch. I need to locate the Iglesia ni Cristo church na rin so we went back to the bayan, which means another looonnnggg trike ride... good thing though, hindi na 100 pesos ang ibabayad namin kasi meron kaming kasamang iba pa na papunta din don. Tig 30 bucks na lang kami. =) Before mamalengke, hinanap namin ang church at natunton naman namin... Thank God! It was just walking distance from the plaza. There we met Ka Beth Santos and her family. Very warm talaga ang mga taga Anda. Winelcome nya talaga kami and sinabi nya lang na bumalik ako before 6:30 PM kasi yun ang schedule ng devotional prayer. Punta na kami sa market after then we bought bangus (my favorite); tomatoes, ginger, and onions (for the bangus' filling); hotdogs and liempo. We were planning na mag-ihaw for lunch. Bumili din kami ng cooked rice. We were trying to find an ATM too but to no avail... sa Alaminos pa daw ang ATM (which is an hour++ from Anda), paktay! Lesson #1: mag-withdraw ng bonggang bongga before going to Tondol. The manong of the trike was kind enough to wait for us para maisabay na kami going back to the white beach kaya di na kami nahirapan.
10:00 AM - Joshua was already busy setting up his reliable ihawan while I chop the bangus fillings (tomatoes, ginger, and onions). I enjoyed doing this--preparing your own food. Honestly, I was very careful of chopping and preparing the ingredients--nakakahiya kaya kay Josh if I ruined it coz mas marunong pa sya mag-cook kesa sakin.
Our Lunch
11:30 AM - lunch time! I helped Josh set the table then he let me uncork our Apple Champagne (it's non-alcoholic), my first time to do it. We had a yummy lunch--inihaw na liempo, bangus and hotdogs! We also had ripe Mango and Pinapple juice. ;)
12:30 PM - We had to clean up na before we go to the beach. I enjoyed doing this as well...
1:15 PM - off to the beach! I didn't bring my digicam. So, wala akong kuha sa digicam ko on our first trip sa shores. Kainis... Naisip ko: YA should reach this place! Kakalakad namin ni Joshua, we reached Tanduyong Island. Gusto nyo mag-bangka? 100 lang." buset na manong yon! Pilay na nga sya, lasing pa! Natakot ako non talaga kaya ayun umalis na kami ni Josh. Lesson #2: Siguruhing wala talagang tao sa island para makaiwas sa mga biglang lumilitaw na manggagancho tulad nitong mga to. And, according to Josh, never ever tell them na dalawa lang kayo nagtatravel. Sabihin nyo isang group kayo para wag kayo harrassin. We were so tired and sleepy na so we decided to go back sa cottage. First time ko makakita non promise! Eeewww.
2:30 PM - Cottage na kami at nag-shower. After taking a shower, we took a nap... a nap na parang di namin natikman for years dahil sa biyahe.
4:30 PM - Josh was waking me up kasi nga pupunta kami ng church (na 40-minute trike ride away).
6:00 PM - ang aga namin makarating kina Ka Beth so nakipagkwentuhan muna kami. Hehe... After the 15-minute service, nag-comment ang Josh "I like your service, it was straight to the point and heartfelt ang prayer"... I just smiled.
Ka Beth Santos and Family
10:00 PM - "dinner" time. It was my first time na makakita non! New moon na daw kasi. Grabe! I was in awe... After dinner, naka 2 cups pa kami ng Swiss Miss under the stars... Kwentuhan lang and mga 12MN na kami natulog.
December 17, 2008
6:30 AM - Good Morning Sunshine!!! Hehe... Mga after ilang minutes pa ko humiga before bumangon to help Josh prepare our breakfast. We had scrambled eggs with mushrooms and onions, ripe mango, fruit cups, oranges, peanut butter sandwich and Swiss Miss. Akalain mo nakapag-breakfast ako ng walang kape?!
Our Breakfast
10:50 AM - off to the beach! We went to the other side naman this time... where the mangroves were planted. Lakad lakad at picture picture with the manongs na nanghuhuli ng clams pangkain nila. Sinulit talaga namin ang beach! At si Josh walang ginawa kundi picture-an ako. Haayyy... We planned to go to Alaminos for McDonald's or KFC kaso ang layo so hinde na lang. Hehe... We bought cotton candies for us para kakainin namin while naglalakad lakad. At, may pa ko with the school principal.
Di man lang ako nakabangon to wash my face and change my clothes. Tinulugan ko si Josh... Sorry... Sobrang pagod lang talaga...
December 18, 2008
6:00 AM - nag-sorry talaga ko kay Josh pagkagising na pagkagising kasi tinulugan ko sya last night... lakad lakad muna kami for siguro mga 1 hour before we eat our light breakfast. We walked sa may beach ulit to take a last look of the "paradise" na iiwanan na namin (in the meantime) tapos picture picture ulit. After an hour siguro, we went back to our cottage na and ate a light breakfast...

8:45 AM - off to Baguio City! Grabe 5 hours ang biyahe from Pangasinan to Baguio! at wala pang derechong byahe. Bat ganon?!

Josh attended the worship service, well I hope he liked our way of praising and worshipping... =) after the service, mga 8 PM na ito, we went to SM and had dinner at Gerry's (we had bangus sisig and molo soup!). Mejo tired na talaga ko nito, but sayang naman kung di kami maglilibot... so naglibot libot kami sa mga ukay ukay at bangketa. Meron kaming nakitang stuffed toy cum sex toy... hahaha... kakainis! Haha... So yon... Kakaikot pa rin ng kakaikot, Joshua saw this very cool high cut sneakers (na tatak intsik)! Ang ganda grabe! Pinasukat talaga sa kin ni Josh and he took a picture of me while sinusukat ko.

Sorry...

So, we spent half of the day watching TV.

12:00 NN - check out na kami. Punta na kami sa SM for lunch and para ipadevelop ang pix na nasa disposable camera. We went to Don Henrico's to eat (buffalo wings!!!) at etong Josh e kino-correct na naman yung waiter kasi di ma-pronounce ang Salisbury steak ng maayos. Haha... Sobrang busog talaga kami grabe! We asked how much yung rug ang sagot ni manong "180 per each". Haha... Speaking of Maricar, sa Don Hen pala, hinihiram nya sa manager yung name plate at pinapasuot nya sa kin at pipicture-an daw nya ko... Maricar kasi yung name nung manager.

Kaso, 2:30 na yon and we're so damn tired so yun, umuwi na lang kami. Haaayyy... It was a very tiring byahe but it's all worth it! I enjoyed my vacay sobra! Sa isip ko... Trabaho na naman sa Monday...

During my vacay, first time kong...
  • makakita ng red moon (new moon)
  • maka-encounter ng very appreciative folks.
  • ma-experience ang ganitong type of vacation... =)

So what if I reposted this from Angel's? Malapit na birthday ko!

Avee Our Birthday Girl

Our bestie Avee celebrated her 29th birthday last Monday. We were texting Sunday night, counting down til the clock struck 12. She was at 19 East daw with her Tita so I stayed up a little later because I wanted to be the first people to greet her a happy birthday.

Some interesting Avee facts:

* She was my busmate kay Tita Terry and Mang Ytable.

* We used to pick on our other best friend in grade school, Angela Tripon. Bata pa lang maldita na talaga kami. I wonder where Angela is now?

* When we were younger, we both shared a passion for Romnick Sarmenta and Jennifer Sevilla. As in the poster-on-your-bedroom-wall kind of passion. Si Achie maka-Sharon and Gabby, si Ann maka-Jigo Garcia and Jean Garcia. Woohoo!

* Avee detested Kerokerokeroppi. I wonder why. =D

* But she was a big fan of espadrilles.

* Nagka-crush din sa kanya ang aming pinsang si Nokie nung debut ni Apple.

* She likes sampaloc candies.

* She almost dislocated her jaw while eating a Big Mac inside the bus.

* She can burn the telephone lines with no effort. Telebabad from sun up to sun down.

* And since paborito niya ang telepono, na-discover din niya ang 'mailbox' ng mga ADB employees na illegal naming ginagamit to leave ridiculous messages. Haha.

* She wanted to name her daughter Amethyst Julienne when we were in high school.

* Masipag si Avee sumipot sa mga dentist's appointments kaya siya ang may pinakamagandang ipin sa amin ngayon. Kaming tatlo naka-braces pa rin. Ay si Achie pala wala ng braces.

* Gamit na gamit ang kama at kuwarto ni Avee sa mga sleepovers ng YA.

* Avee has this unconscious habit of scratching/rubbing her nose when she tells a story.

* She's not a writer, but she wrote me a novel as a gift for my birthday.

* She loved "No More Guitars" so much, the story I wrote for her as a birthday gift.

* She called up my crushes for me to fish for info. Nakausap na niya si Lawrence Guevarra, si Cablitas, si Dodie, si Trillana (!), heck, even Jon!

* She loves having her picture taken. May signature smile yan na ginagaya ni Suzanne. Basta, nakakatawa si Suzanne.

* Sinamahan nya ko sa liblib na lugar sa Cubao para magsubmit ng article sa magazine. On the way home, we saw her crush from San Beda na si Patrick. Everytime we remember this moment, kilig na kilig ang lola mo at umpisa na ng trip down memory lane.

* Do you remember this guy named Tristan na textmate namin pareho ni Avee na mineet ng YA sa Robinson's Place Manila? Sa Auntie Anne's? Ang stupid, sa Robinson's Galleria pumunta. Haha.

* And do you remember that one summer night when YA watched Nightmare On Elm Street? Yung napatalon si Harry from one end of the sofa to the other end nung biglang lumabas yung dila ni Freddie sa mouthpiece ng telepono? Panalo!

* Mahirap yayain si Avee manood ng sine. I don't know why.

* She gave me free board and lodge when I was househunting last year. =D

* Avee introduced me to my sweetest downfall...Gah! Next!

* Nakakarating sa Marikina, sa Cainta at sa Fairview just for the man she loves.

* She is the biggest fan of my work! =D

* Yun nga lang she suffers from Last Minute Syndrome, yun bang magca-cancel at the last minute. Hee. =D

* She has very strong faith and is very active in her church.

* Migraine, asthma, anemia, dysmenorrhea.

* Kahit ngayon medyo she's out of circulation and missing in action, she will always be a constant in my life. =D

Happy birthday, bes!

Rhea, Arlo, Edgar and I went out nung Nov. 15. Dinner lang and coffee. While waiting for Rhea and Arlo, nagpasama ako magshop for office wear and shoes kay Edgar and ang gaganda ng mga nabili ko! Mura pa! Ok pala mamili sa Market! Market! =)
When the 2nd half of the group arrived, we went to Reyes Barbecue for dinner... We all had pork barbecue except for Arlo, he had bangus belly. Sarap pala ng barbecue don! And the peanut sauce is just so good! Chikahan lang over dinner...
Then, I realized ang tagal na namin hindi nagkikita. Gosh! I missed them so much! I don't join them sa gimmicks for the past months eh. There's a lot of kwentos I missed so update-an lang ng update-an ng mga nangyayari sa kanila. Rhea and Steve (dinedate nya) are not dating anymore, Arlo found a new girl na may boyfriend, and Edgar is still busy preparing for his April Wedding. =)
Here are some pics...

Nov. 18

2nd day of rest, 2 days ng absent. Been suffering from cough and colds since Nov. 16 (Chris Brown/Rihanna Concert), and I'm not enjoying it anymore. Was just surprised of getting an unexpected phone call from "someone" asking how I was doing. The second thing to do was text Angel and ask if she mentioned (to him) anything about me being sick, Angel said no. So there... Hehe...
While lying on my bed at hirap na hirap sa pagubo... nagtext si Achie...
Napahinto ang pag-ubo ko at na-flatter. Obvious bang tinake ko as compliment ang text message ni Achie, I even took a pic of the message... hahaha...

Nov 19

I just had a phone call from a friend of mine... Was so surprised coz I thought nakalimutan nya na ko. Eto pa, I thought din na he just learned from my bestfriend na I'm sick that's why he called... Not pala. He just... C.A.L.L.E.D period... and I'm happy! :) Ayun, so bale no, feeling nya daw nasestress na ko kaya ako nagkakasakit so I need a vacation daw at niyaya nya ko sa beach at magbabakasyon daw kami sa December! I asked "December?!" weird di ba? Gawin bang Summer ang Disyembre?! Pero sabi nya, it would be the Perfect Summer in December! We'll go to a place where "Samba songs are made of, where I won't burn in the sun but I'll turn golden brown... Where I can eat peanut butter sandwiches... Walang trabaho, walang stress na iisipin... bakasyon lang". Haaayyy...

Chris Brown and Rihanna Concert

Right... I was one of the 70,000 people who went to Global City Open Field to watch (and see) Chris Brown and Rihanna perform. I had a very fun, fun night with the girls (Angel, Ann, Sugar and Beegee) although I was already suffering from cough and colds. Before going to the venue, we had our sumptuous dinner first at North Park.
Cough and colds didn't matter to me because I sooo enjoyed watching Chris Brown! He is sooo haaawwwwtttt! I swear! Nice arms! Nice abs! Nice body! Sugar and I were really shouting our hearts out (deadma sa ubo) hearing Chris Brown perform our favorite songs--Forever, With You, No Air, and Rock with You (I can't believe he sang this! Oh gosh)!
Here are some pics...
Besties... Halata bang matamlay na ko?
The best we could get of Chris Brown (courtesy of Bes)
Post-Chris Brown smiles... haaayyy...
The best we could get of Rihanna (again, courtesy of Bes)
Happy souls after the concert... Darn I feel so ill that time... Smile pa rin =)

Kamustahin natin...

Ang diet at fat loss pills ko... Kung ang ihahain naman sa kin e yung creamy shrimp ng Le Cuisine Francais from the weekend market. Isa na namang pagi-indulge. Pakbet talaga di ko mapigilan di bumili nitong shrimp na to... Favorite ko na to since nakilala ko sya sa Salcedo. Hehe... Sakto lang yung pagkaluto sa shrimp, olives and mushrooms... and the cream, super sarap grabe! I just wish I can cook this dish para naman anytime na mag-crave ako for this, e lulutuin ko na lang. You guys should try this. I swear! It's only available at the Salcedo Weekend Market. Mejo nagtaas na sya ng price ngayon, from P270, P300 na sya but, mas maraming serving ngayon plus may kasama na syang rice when you buy it. :-)

Toffee Nut Latte

Why did I forget to blog this last Thursday?! Anyway, Christmas is fast approaching and Starbucks has their annual treat for their customers--Christmas Drinks. I've been an "avid drinker" of Toffee Nut Latte ever since it was introduced. During the holiday season, I never failed to have cups of this uber sarap coffee. Since I "fell in love" with the drink, I asked my friend (Starbucks barista) to teach me how to make Toffee Nut Latte... I never tried making it myself though... hehehe... Anyhow, it was sweldo time and I was too stressed for words so I decided to have my 1st cup (for this year) of my favorite. Ayun, off to Starbucks (which is just at the ground floor of our building) and syempre... "Toffee Nut Latte grande, and Peppermint brownie". Talk about indulging... Aaahhh... Sssaaarrraaapp!!! :-D

Invincible

After receiving a text message from bes about this song, I immediately used my connections sa office to help me get an MP3 of this... Unfortunately, my connections didn't find any. I was sooo curious about this song already so I scoured the net for the lyrics... Here goes...
I don't have nerves of steel
I have a heart that feels
I may have cried a million
Tears but I wont drown
I let myself unfold
Gave you my hand to hold
You took me beyond where I could see
And then you let go of me
Chorus:
I was damaged by the fall
Got the wind knocked out of me
To be standing here at all
I must be invincible
I thought that I would break
But now I have come to see
Something strong and beautiful
Inside of meI must be invincible
I don't have X-rays eyes
Don't have a heart so wise
How could I have known
You'd let me down
If I had known that then
My eyes were wide open
I still believe I would've risked it
There's no way i would've missed it
Chorus:
I was damaged by the fall
Got the wind knocked out of me
To be standing here at all
I must be invincible
I thought that I would break
But now I have come to see
Something strong and beautiful
Inside of meI must be invincible
Hey yeah yeah... it's a blessing and a curse
But you find out just
What you're worth.
I was damaged by the fall
Got the wind knocked out of me
To be standing here at all
I must be invincible
I thought that I would break
But now I have come to see
Something strong and beautiful
Inside of me(I must be invincible x8)

Hahaha... (received from Harry via email)

My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed
to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.
As the
plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us "Captain
Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane
shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be
super."
On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed an extremely well-dressed and exotic young woman hadn't moved a muscle. "Perhaps you didn't
hear me over those big brute engines but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo, so
the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground."
She calmly turned her head and
said, "In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from no
one."
To which the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat,
"Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray
up, Bitch."

Santorini in La Union?!

Akalain mo, meron palang mala-Santorini ditis sa Pinas?! It's actually in Poro Point, La Union. An hour away from Baguio. It's Thunderbird Resorts. Maharlika nga lang ang packages but I really want to go there! Gusto ko ma-feel ang maging KC Concepcion as Sophia in For the First Time. I know it was not a good movie but I really, really fell in love with the Mediterranean setting... Greece ba naman. I got one photo from the website and pasted here sa blog to show you guys how nice the place is sa facade pa lang... =) Click the link to see more of Thunderbird Resorts.

Stop Comparing (copied from my office email)

STOP COMPARING
by Bo Sanchez

We live in a pathologically dissatisfied world. And I'm going to tell you why. Because we love to
compare. Go around the world and discover that people aren't happy with their bodies. Filipinos want to be fair-complexioned like Westerners, and so buy bleaching stuff. Westerners want to own bronzed bodies like ours, and so purchase tanning lotions. Those with moles have them removed, while those who don't strategically implant beauty spots. Some people want to shed a few pounds to look like Ally McBeal, while others want to gain some baby fat to look like Drew Barrymore.
When are we ever going to stop and simply be happy with how we look? We live in a sick world. I tell you. And that sickness is comparisonitis.
Take a look at wealth. When we drive our old Toyota , it really suits us fine. We feel blessed in fact when the rain pours outside and we feel snug and cozy on its faded upholstered seats. But the moment we see our own officemate (or neighbor, or buddy, or cousin, or brother) drive his sleek sky-blue, four-door, four-wheel-drive Rav4, we automatically feel like third class children of God. Next time we drive our bumpy, noisy, rusted, dilapidated Toyota (notice how all the defects come out all of a sudden?), we feel deprived, dispossessed, pariah, debased, and only a little higher than the insects of the earth.
Listen carefully... Bill Gates' total assets are worth $60 billion. That's more than the GNP of some small countries. Tiger Woods earns $80 million simply by smiling on TV in a Nike shirt. And the stars of the sitcom Friends are paid $50,000 per episode! My point? No matter how hard you work, there'll still be some people who will be richer than you are. And there'll be some people who will be more beautiful, have more sex appeal, have more boyfriends / girlfriends, and have more problems. Try it for once. Stop looking around.
> Don't compare! Don't compare her nose with your nose.
> Don't compare his wife with your wife.
> Don't compare his salary with your salary.
> Don't compare her breast size with your breast size.
> Don't compare her kid's report card with your kid's report card.

> Don't compare his prayer group with your prayer group. Don't compare her/his cellulite deposits with your cellulite deposits.
For crying out loud, stop comparing and start living. And you'll be happier with your life, I guarantee. This is crucial: The most difficult thing in the world is to be who you are not. Pretending and trying to be someone else is the official pastime of the human race. (I don't think dogs and cats and cows and horses have this problem.) And the easiest thing in the world is to be yourself.
Be happy. Live!
There must be a reason why God made you tall or short or fat or thin or bumpy all over.
Love who you are!

Twix

I've been looking for this chocolate ever since I graduated from College. Why? Coz this is my favorite since the day I tasted it (elementary days) and supermarkets here in Manila don't sell it anymore... For reasons I don't know. Ang sarap sarap pa naman... Now, we can only buy Twix from Subic and I'm uber swerte 'coz one of the team leads here in the office went there and this was her pasalubong for me!!! Yey!!! I ate the chocolate with so much gusto!!! Talaga nga naman... For safety reasons, I checked the packaging first. Mahirap na mabiktima ng Melamine... hehehe... Safe naman sya kainin coz it's an original--as in from US pa sya. It was the same Twix I was eating during my school days... The chocolate coated cookie with caramel inside. It's like KitKat only it's more masarap.
Syempre, kailangan i-post ko to sa blog. Sayang nga lang coz I wasn't able to take a picture of myself while eating this. =D

Rehab

I-memorize ko daw sabi ni Geena (badaf officemate sa Teletech) before the concert sa Sunday... haha...
Rehab
Rihanna (featuring: Justin Timberlake, Timbaland)
[Verse 1:]
Baby, baby
When we first met
I never felt something so strong
You were like my lover
And my best friend
All wrapped into one
With a ribbon on it
And all of a sudden
When you left
I didn't know how to follow
It's like a shot
That spun me around
And now my heart left
I feel so empty and hollow
[Pre Chorus:]
And I'll never give myself to another
The way I gave it to you
Don't even recognize
The ways you hit me
Do you?
It's gonna take a miracle to bring me back
And you're the one to blame
[Chorus:]
And now I feel like, oh
You're the reason
Why I'm thinking
I don't wanna smoke all
These cigarettes no more
I guess this is what I get
For wishful thinking
Should've never let you into my door
Next time you wanna go on and leave
I should just let you go on and do it
It's not usual like how I'll leave
It's like I checked into rehab
Baby you're my disease
It's like I checked into rehab
Baby you're my diseaseI gotta check into rehab
'Cause baby you're my disease
I gotta check into rehab
'Cause baby you're my disease
[Verse 2:]
Damn,Ain't it crazy
When your love slams?
You'll do anything
For the one you love
'Cause anytime
That you needed me
I'd be there
It's like
You were my favorite drug
The only problem is
That you was using me
In a different way
That I was using you
But now that I know
That it's not meant to be
You gotta go
I gotta win myself over you
[Pre Chorus:]
[Chorus:]
[Ad libs]
[Chorus:]

5 Days to Chris Brown/Rihanna Concert

Hindi ako masyado excited... Hindi palaaa... ;) ;) ;)

Madilim na Alas Tres

Kamusta naman 3:30PM pa lang, parang 6PM na... Sobrang dilim! Grabe... kakainis! I took a picture of the view outside pa talaga from my window. Lungkot... Ayoko talaga ng paulan kasi super gloomy ng paligid... nasasad ako... Haaayyy...

Rap & Gab

It was Rap and Gab's (CMG Supervisor's twins) 3rd birthday last Saturday, Nov. 8 in Jollibee, Alabang. I attended the party with one of the CSRs and Team Lead. Half day naman ako nung Saturday so gora na don. Nice yung Jollibee don ha, in fairness...
Meron nga palang isang baby who caught my attention. :)

Hyun lamerz... Wala naman ako masulat masyado about the party kasi it was the usual one, games, kainan... the likes. And, wala din naman ako masyado masabi about the twins other than hindi sila magkamukha =) By the way, Bes, yung mom nyang twins na yan ay diagnosed with PCO. Rap and Gab are products of Clomid, kaya hindi sila magkamukha kasi magkaiba sila ng egg. Hehehe...

Passion...

Passion for dancing... singing... cooking... Passion, passion... What is "passion"? Passion (as a noun), according to elook.org dictionary, means a strong feeling or emotion; it is an intense emotion. In lay man's term, it is a strong love for anything--may it be a hobby, belief or action.
I envy people who have passion on what they're doing. They just do not have the talents to show but they love their talents! I admire them because they do not just focus on what they are good at but they still try to develop that skill. They attend classes to hone their skills, they teach/share what they know and they make money out of their "passion".
There are only few people I know who are very passionate on the things they are doing, and I look up to them because at my age, I haven't discovered which talent to focus on... I've got few skills that I can be very proud of but I still want to know which one to really love...

Basketball Championship

Our department, CMG has made it to the basketball finals. Preparations were done 3 weeks prior to the said date of the championship. We had our department shirt, tarpaulin and banners to show our support. I already felt the tension as I entered the gym and I know that this would be one helluva game. Players from both teams were really good and I feel that it would be a very tough fight.

Howls and cheers surrounded the gym and both sides of the court were really shouting at the top of their lungs to show support to their respective teams. It was a very tough game and CMG was leading in the first quarter... I thought it would be like that until the end of the game but the other team exerted too much effort that CMG was not able to catch up with the score.

The team only got the first place but each of them gave their best efforts in order to reach as far as the finals. I guess for me, we are still the champions!

I wanna be Bilbil and Puson-free!

I really gained too much weight. My waistline is already 28 inches from 27, my puson is already bulging (as in!), I'm 115 lbs. now, and my legs are now called "logs". I really want my flabs to disappear and I'm desperate! Chos... Thanks to our medical admin! =) She gave me this fat loss pill, Zhen de Shou ang name and it really focuses on the puson and tummy. So there... I'm just on my 4th day of taking the pills and I noticed results already. Ang fast no? Sabi sa box: no diarrhea and no anorexia. It's true! Ang side effects lang sa kin are: dryness of throat, lesser hours of sleep (sometimes 2am or 3am pa lang gising na ko, kainis!), excessive sweating sa lower/upper limbs and tummy area, and hindi ako nagugutom. The pill should be taken 30 minutes-1 hour before breakfast then yun na! Walang pagkagutom sa lunch time, at wala akong gana kumain. Nagke-crave lang ako for chocolates kasi parang yung taste buds ko bitter. Overall, the pill is ok and very effective. You can buy Zhen de Shou from Chinese drugstores and it's just 250 per box; 1 box has 10 capsules inside. Plugging lang... ahahaha... paid ad kaya ito... Chos! =D

Help!

Pakbet... I thought changing the style of my chatbox would not delete YA's messages... Nawala lahat!!!

13 = 31

13... 31... what's with these numbers?! ...Because it seems that these numbers are jinxed (for me I think). I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence (I hope it was), but when I went out in June 13 and October 31, my sort of a date didn't turn out as planned...
June 13, 2008 (Friday)
Morning pa lang...
I forgot my hair brush and di ko alam pano ko susuklayin yung hair ko no... I gave him directions because he was supposed to pick me up after work, unfortunately, he got lost on Buendia and didn't know his way back to Dela Costa. He reached Rockwell and didn't go back to my office anymore... He texted and said he'll go straight to Mall of Asia and that we'll meet there na lang. I was super pissed off and super tired from walking tapos toxic pa sa paghintay ng bus coz it was a rush hour. Haaayyy... Malas talaga! F na f ko ang Friday the 13th I swear! Buti na lang masarap ang dinner and I had fun! =)
October 31, 2008 (Friday again)
I thought things will turn out as planned...
My date was able to find my office and even went up sa floor namin to pick me up (although naligaw sya ng konti going to my office). He was just in time and we're going to Glorietta to have dinner and watch Nights in Rodanthe. Eto na, we were both starving already at di namin makita ang Tokyo Tokyo... What happened to me?! I should know where Tokyo Tokyo is! For some reasons, di ko talaga matandaan so pabalik balik kami sa concierge. After the second time na tanungin ang concierge, we finally saw Tokyo Tokyo... Haaayyy food!!! =) Dinner was peaceful... hehe... and tawanan lang forever... then, we decided to smoke after eating. We were about to buy our tickets for the movie na, before going to the cinema my date checked his phone and said na he had to call his mom... Ayun, we were not able to watch the movie kasi he had to go home na. Kailangan daw yung car... Kahit mejo bitin, I had fun naman... So there... Wala na naman yung pinagplanuhan... Haaayyy... What's really with the numbers 3 and 1?! Or 1 and 3?! Tanong, yung numbers ba talaga or yung person?! Or yung Friday?! Twice na to... ayoko na maulit...

Thoughts...

Have you ever been attracted to someone even if that person has shown only few extraordinary things that would make you feel special? Have you ever felt that you're being taken cared of even if that person is so far from you? Have you ever felt so happy whenever you're with this person? Happy not just because you laugh at his corniest and silliest joke he cracks but because you just feel so glad being with him... Have you ever felt so grumpy the whole day just because you have not received a single text message from this person? Have you ever wanted to talk and talk and talk to this person because you feel that talking to him would make you feel relieved, happy, and appreciated? Have you ever asked these questions and hoped for answers that would shed light on you...? I have... and I need explanations why I'm feeling this way...

My Song... Nowadays =)

Fall For You
There's a right or wrong to know for everything And the truth is somewhere written in between But there's always something missing in the dark There you'll find the true condition of the heart
Well, I can visualize the pieces of a dream, And it's not as far away as it may seem But if truth be told, it is you that hold the key To the question that defines my destiny
CHORUS
I've been in love, a time or two I've seen the world, when i'm with you I wanna fly and spread my wings I don't wanna cry, I wanna sing I wanna live and take a chance I'm not afraid to love again I wanna fall, fall for you And I want you to fall for me too
I've had plenty conversations with my heart Coz I want this thing to work, not fall apart So, I ask my heart how it can be so sure And it answers me because your heart is pure
I have every expectation that is true Coz my heart won't lie to me, much less to you But if truth be told, it is you that holds the key To the future that becomes our destiny
CHORUS
Unto the mountain snow that melts into the stream
My heart goes like a river to sea
To the heavens up above, I pray to God our destiny is love

Bon Voyage

Trick or Treat!

Halloween's fast approaching, kaya naman, to break the monotony in the office, we held the annual Trick or Treat for kids. Sons, daughters, nieces and nephews of Medicard employees were invited to participate in the program. This was the first time I made time to pack candies sa lootbags. Never ko ginawa yan kasi nanghihinayang ako sa mahal ng candies at tinatamad ako, hehe... Naalala ko, I really need to give these kids something man lang kasi malamang sa malamang papasukin nila ang room ko at magt-trick or treat sa kin. =)
I enjoyed the activity so much kasi sobrang daming magagandang kids! Hehe...
It was really fun and I'm looking forward to more activities like these here at Medicard.
