30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 10

When I saw what's for Day 10, napagisip ako ng malalim at napa-sigh ng bonggang bongga.  Because naman, "a photo of your favorite place to eat" eh dahil ako ay isang foodie & I love Italian food, napakarami kong favorite (Italian) restaurants!  And dahil blog ko naman to, ako pa rin ang masusunod so walang pakialaman kung apat ang ilagay ko dito. Hehe :-D However, as much as I wanted na ako ang kukuha ng pictures nila, eh hindi ko magagawa so I got the photos from the internet.  Thank you sa mga may-ari ng photos, I placed the web address (as caption of the photos) where I got the pics because I might be sued for copyright chuchu. :-)

This is alphabetically arranged because walang lamang sa kanila sa pagka-love ko sa kanila, lahat sila favorite ko...

1)  Don Henrico's (aka Don Hen) - I don't care which branch as long as it's Don Hen.  Kaya lang I felt bad when they closed their branch sa Makati.  Good thing they opened sa Mall of Asia which is super near sa kin.  Anyway, sa food naman wala akong masabi. Sooobraaanggg WOW!  Here's a list of my faves: Appetizers:  Dip & Nachos, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Finger Salad & Caesar Salad.  Then, their pizza of course:  Don Henrico's Supreme Pizza, Seafood Romano Pizza & Ultimate Pepperoni Pizza; sa panizza nila or yung calzone I love their Beef Calzone. Then, their Pasta: Tutto de Mare, Pacific Rim Seafood Pasta, X.O. Seafood Pasta ( I just can't remember which one has the black sauce among these seafood pastas pero that is super sarap talaga!), Chicken Al Pesto, Spaghetti Al Pesto, Meat Lasagna & Spaghetti Meatballs!  And sa main entree nila: Fish & Chips and of course who would not love their Buffalo Wings (Chicken minsan pag wala ng wings)?!  Talaga naman, my dining at Don Hen would not be complete without the Buffalo Wings!  First resto ko pa lang and I'm already starving :-D

2)  Fazoli's - What I don't like about Fazoli's is that they only have one dine-in restaurant here in Manila.  It's in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City which is sooo far from my place kaya naman, whenever I go to Eastwood, I always make sure that we eat at Fazoli's.  What's good about this resto naman is that (for me) it's like the traditional Italian restos I see on TV!  Very cozy (upstairs) and good for family gatherings or dinner with friends (downstairs).  Parang kulang na lang yung very long table tapos yung mga taong nagsasalita ng Italian.  Hehe. Ganun yung feel ko sa Fazoli's.  Of course, ang food ay talaga naman!  Swak not only sa taste buds ko but also sa wallet ko.  The idea of Fazoli's kasi is fast Italian food kaya ang tag line nila is fast.fresh.Italian.  O di ba, it's like McDonald's (because of their cheap prices) that serves Italian food.  From their pizza, pasta and sandwiches, not to mention their unlimited (super delicious) garlic bread... Talagang I eat them with gusto!  I just hope they open near my place like Makati or Mall of Asia.

3)  Gotti's - I fell in love with this resto the first time I ate here.  I was with mom sa SM Bicutan when we got hungry.  Eh I love Italian food nga so sa Gotti's ko sya niyaya.  Ang funny coz yung location ng Gotti's was yung dating location ng favorite Italian place ko dito sa Parañaque before, yung Pizzeria Pronto.  I was thinking tuloy if one owner lang sila.  Anyway, very cozy kasi sa Gotti's.  Small place lang which I like kasi hindi maingay plus they play good music.  Another thing is that the food is great! Their Margherita pizza and yung Mozzarella and Basil pizza are really good!  Their Fettuccini Alfredo, Pasta Pomodoro and their Pasta al Pesto are great as well. And syempre, their food is very affordable!  If I am to give this resto a tag line it would be: "Who says you can't eat cheap & great Italian food?!"

4)  Joey Pepperoni - Few words... Eat all you can Pasta for only PhP150 and 50% off on their Pizza from 2pm-6pm!  Who would not love that?! When I first ate here, it reminded me of our favorite pizza & pasta place when we were in Houston, TX--Cici's Pizza because of their promo nga. Sayang lang Joey Pep closed na sa Salcedo.  I love their branch there because it's near my office yung tipong when I crave for Italian food sa lunchtime, bababa lang ako, lakad konti tapos yun na!  And the place is very neat and cozy and quiet... Their food talagang masarap especially their dessert!  Sana ibalik nila yung store sa Salcedo.

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 9

For today's challenge, we have to upload a photo of the item we last purchased.  And since I'm not allowed to go out (not even go to the mall nearest our subdivision), the item that I can only purchase is junk food (na pinabibili ko kay mom pag pumupunta sya sa SM).  Syempre ubos na yung mga junk food na yon so, yung last, not edible thing na pinurchase ko was my crutches.  Although hindi naman ako ang physically pumunta sa store (si papa yung bumili for me), I paid for it.  All I can say about Trusty my aluminum crutches is that it's very "trusty" (kaya nga yun ang name nya eh) kasi it's sturdy and it's been with me since after my operation... and it'll be my friend until I can live without it, which is three months from now pa.

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 8

Nahirapan ako dito sa Day 8 I swear! Because I can't think of a song to match my mood kanina pa... I was thinking Hey Jealousy by Gin Blossoms kasi mejo stressed ako today & malapit na ang concert ng Gin Blossoms. I changed my mind kasi, parang wala, ayoko lang... So I was thinking Friday I'm In Love by The Cure. Inisip ko, Saturday naman ngayon bakit Friday I'm In Love?! Wala lang, gusto ko lang eh... And, I'm wearing Red today, hehe, maja-justify na ba ng reason na yon? Hehe. Tapos, tapos, tapos... Something good happened to me today! Eto ang pinakamasayang nangyari sa kin ngayong leave ko... I won the FB Photo Contest (teary-eyed ako when I learned na ako yung winner, first photo contest ko ata to na ako ang kumuha ng pic)!!! Wooohooo!!! So, naisip ko na saktong sakto na ang Friday I'm In Love na song kasi parang happy yung mood nya kahit mukhang emo yung The Cure. Parang kahit na halos buong week na sad ka or wala sa mood, may one day talaga that would make you forget na bad trip ka :-)

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 7

I love going to bridal fairs, attending weddings & doing anything that has to do with weddings... I'm glad that our blog challenge list included "Your dream wedding", at first, I was hesitant to do this challenge or kung gagawin ko man, hindi ko papagandahin kasi baka maudlot pag may plans hehe... But then, naexcite ako bigla to share my ideas because nga I just so love weddings!

And since I once dreamed of being a wedding planner (ala J. Lo in The Wedding Planner), I'm going  to format it just like a coordinator--checklist! :-)

As much as possible, close friends and relatives lang para lahat maaasikaso. Siguro 200-250 pax lang.  Tapos merong cocktails sa reception while waiting for us (couple).  Then merong prayer to be  lead by the pastor, then dinner/lunch na.  While nagdidinner/lunch meron ng program like yung mga cake-cutting, drinking of wine
& yung papakawalan ang butterflies (ayoko ng kalapati).  Tapos

ipeplay na yung AVP (c/o YA hehe).  Tapos speech eklavu ng parents, Best Man & Matron of Honor while yung signature boards pinapa-signan din.  Pag tapos na ng program saka magra-run yung photobooth kasi experience ko sa wedding ng brother ko, nawala lahat ng tao at nagpunta sa photobooth eh di pa tapos ang program.  Then, yung garter & bouquet toss is in game form para di boring.  I want din yung maraming maraming goodies for the chocolate fountain & maraming desserts; and before I forget mas bet ko ang buffet kesa sa sitdown meal... AND Tiffany chairs ang gagamitin not the monoblocs na tinakpan ng tela. 

Tapos may dance-party after ng program kung di man,
swimming party kasi beach ang theme di ba.
If hapon ang wedding, bet ko ang fireworks! ;-)

I can't wait this to materialize.  Hay, I just don't know when but I know it's going to be soon, real soon... I'm just waiting for the right time... for  the right guy to find me... Dalian mo! ;-)

 

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 6

Today's bloggie challenge is about a picture of an animal we want to keep as pet.  Well, I already have a pet dog and I love her so much! And, if time comes that she has to bid farewell, I would still get a dog for a pet.  Why? Because dogs are intelligent, sweet, lovable, can take away stress and (surprisingly) cure allergies!  Man's Best Friend nga di ba?

Anyway, my dog Sacci is a cross between a Golden & a Spitz.  She has been with me since 2005 and never given me a headache aside from her usual loud barking whenever there are visitors sa house (not to mention yung pagiging sickly nya nung puppy pa sya).

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 5

Ok, Day 5 is about my picture taken two years ago... And I can say that nothing's changed except that my hair's longer now :-D

This photo was taken by my bestie, Angel when we had our lunch and ice cream date in December of '08.  I think the Ice Cream Parlor's name is Icebergs (at the back of Mall of Asia)... Or Eskimo Bobs na ata sya ngayon :-)

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 4

When I saw the topic for Day 4, parang gusto ko ng laktawan yung Day 1. Hehe... Syempre, picture ng best friend! At first, ang naisip kong ilagay was yung picture namin ni Angel na parehong tirik ang mata or yung isang parang nag-aagawan kami sa Chippy nung High School *evil smirk*, hehehe... But then, bawal ang may kasama. Dapat solo picture ng best friend so super hanap ako ng magandang picture ni Bes and that's when I realize "na wala pala ko masyadong solo picture ni Bes"... Either magkasama kami or yung friends namin. Tapos, most of my photos were saved sa computer ko sa office kaya parang nawawalan na ko ng pag-asang makaparticipate sa blog challenge.  Eh, matyaga ako maghalungkat ng documents sa PC and I found not one but two nice photos of my best friend Angel... Ang sabi sa challenge isang photo lang, walang pakialaman, blog ko to and gusto ko dalawa yung ipost eh :-D

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 3

For me, a first date or any date would be perfect as long as I'm with the person I like/love... Naks!  But, for the sake of this Bloggie Challenge, I will try to exhaust my brains of all the ideas I could get for a perfect first date.

1.  The guy has to pick me up sa house and formal na magpapaalam kina papa. Syempre nagpaalam na ko beforehand but ok pa din yung sasabihin nya na "Alis po muna kami ni Avee, hahatid ko na lang sya pauwi agad". Naks... Yun ang gentleman :-)

2.  If maaga pa, yung tipong there's still time for attending an art or photo exhibit before dinner, I would ask him to bring me there than watch a movie.

3.  Ok na sa kin ang dinner sa isang restaurant. I'm not into fine dining, pero sana hindi fast food and I would prefer Italian dish and no noise music please... Dapat somewhere we could chitchat :-)

4.  After-dinner coffee is next in my list... Or if not this one, dessert na lang in an Ice Cream joint or sa place na merong cakes that we could indulge in while having a nice conversation ;-)

 5.  Then ihahatid nya ko earlier than 10:00 PM para naman he could easily gain my parents' trust.

Very simple di ba?  Talagang both of us would get to know each other better sa ganitong klase ng date...

Pero, actually, yung original idea ko of a first date eh a day at the beach, yung naririnig ko yung lapping of the waves while eating our favorite food plus may beautiful music on the side and yung mapapanood namin yung sunset to end the day... Nice no?  Kaso, wala naman ako sa Sydney or sa Los Angeles kaya eto na lang muna yung idea ko of a first date.  Ang chaka naman kasi sa Manila Bay or dun sa Floating Resto sa may Harborview... Ambaho ng dagat! Hehe :-D

Day 2 in our Bloggie Challenge list says "A photo of something you ate today".  And since the subject is interesting, I practiced my skills and took a picture of everything I had for the day :-)

30 Day Bloggie Challenge Day 1

My best friend Angel came up with this bloggie challenge that she adapted from a post.  Everyday, there's one topic that we have to talk about in our blogs and the topics were already given.  When she told me about this, syempre na-excite ako no.  Sinong hindi maeexcite about it eh, I don't have to think about what topic to talk about in my blog... Every single day!  Good thing too, I was left with something to do now that I'm on medical leave. Yey!!!   

Que horror!

So, here's my first piece... Oh and by the way, today we have to talk about how our day was with our picture attached.  Pretty cool no? :-) Well, I don't usually set my alarm ever since I started my medical leave.  Aba, ngayon ko lang masusulit ang tulog no!  But then, I have to wake up early today so that I could catch Digital Photo Plus on Channel 23 kaya nagpaalarm ako (eto dapat ang highlight of my day, but no! I'll talk about that later *wink*).  So there, Mom brought me (sa room) breakfast of beef tapa, fried rice, coffee and two pieces of chico fruit and pinagsamantalahan ko sya while watching DPP.  The show was short lang, 30 minutes lang sya and mejo nabitin nga ako pero wag ka, I learned a lot from the show and I was inspired to grab my gear and take photos!

Kaso di pa pwede coz I'm disabled right now... Pag magaling na lang ako :-)  Ayun, after watching the show, I went on my daily routine of taking a bath at napansin ko lang naman na para na kong Polio victim!!!  Mas maliit na yung right leg ko kesa sa left kasi di ko sya nagagamit!  Que horror!  Hay siguro naman babalik sya sa normal...  Anyway, after ng daily routine ko, I went in front of  the computer to check my emails, Plurk, Facebook, pimp my photoblog and edit some of my pics on photoshop... E for Effort pala magphotoshop!
Then I had a (not so great) lunch (because I don't eat crabs and yun ang ulam) with Mom and Pops then face the computer again to do my thing.  Until, my office friend Margaret texted me na

pupunta sya dito for dinner... Ayun ang highlight of my day sabi ko sa self ko... May maiilagay na ko sa bloggie challenge! :-)  Ayun, binisita lang ako ng aking butihing friendship, dumating sya 6:30pm na, just in time for dinner... Tapos nilabas nya yung kanyang pasalubong na HungryPac Chocolate Cake!!!  Talagang eto ang highlight of my day may goolay!!!  Super favorite ko kaya yun!
Kaya naman I took a photo of it para ipost dito.  Dami namin napagkwentuhan ng friend ko especially yung mga nangyayari sa office (I really have to know) and super namiss ko yung ingay nya.  Namiss ko tuloy lalo yung office at bet ko na talaga pumasok!  So there, my friend stayed for exactly 2 hours lang, umuwi na sya agad kasi gagabihin sya.  And, before she left, we had a photo together and di nya pinalampas ang chance of taking a picture of me while standing with my crutches tapos nagtatawa ng nagtatawa sabay sabi ng "Ang panget mo Avs!" :-)
